Dear Mrs. Matthews,
This will probably be my last blog ever. I more than likely will never blog again. It has been fun, but like my diary entries, I don't think I could make this last much longer. I hope you have enjoyed at least some of my posts. I try to make them entertaining and fun topics, which your interesting ideas always help! This is the end of my blogging and the start of something else that has yet to be figure out...
I have enjoyed blogging and I definately suggest that you keep doing these next year. I like that it gives us time to think about what we are feeling and the freedom we have to blog about whatever we please. You are an awesome teacher and I have loved having you this year! Thank you so much for all that you do for us. You have the perfect amount of strictness to keep the class in order and the right amount of easy going to make the class fun and interesting.
Thank you again,
Ellie :)

Jay's Graduation! :)
I leave tomorrow to go to San Antonio and I cannot wait! I haven't seen Jay in 8 1/2 weeks and I am so ready! We fly out tomorrow evening and we get to see him on Thursday. He will do a group mile run and then he gets to hang out with us until 8 at night. Then on Friday, he will actually graduate from boot camp then spend more time with us! He gets most of the day on Saturday and then Sunday morning. I am going down there with his grandparents and we are meeting up with his mom, step dad, and aunt. I know those 4 days are going to go by so fast, and that is the part I dread. The past 9 weeks have seemed like forever but I am so thankful for my friends that have been there for me and helped me stay focused and happy. They have kept me busy and my find off of him being gone and not being able to talk to him. I will get to see him for this weekend and then he will be gone to tech school for 4-6 months. Thats 2-3 times longer than what he has already been gone. I have made myself promise the same thing I promised myself before he left. That is that I will make the most of my time and I won't spend it worrying about having to say goodbye again or how much longer I have to spend with him. It will only make the weekend miserable and not fun. That is not the memory I want to have. He doesn't need that either. So positive thinking is my goal! I can't wait to see him and actually have a conversation with him face to face. My letters that have turned out to be conversations with myself because he has no time to write, and his 20 minute phone calls that were never enough time were also not enough. I am looking forward to this weekend and have for the past 8 1/2 weeks! I can't wait :)
Prom 2011
I had so so so much fun at prom! One of my best friends, Graham Duncan and I went together. Of course there was the whole pre-prom prep that had to be done. Elizabeh Owen and I went to get our nails done the day before, which was a zoo. We finished off Prom Eve by going to the Tamarak Carnival for a while and then heading back to her house to lay in the tanning bed. The next morning we were up bright and early to be good Student Councilains and decorate for prom. Afterwards I headed to my Nana's for a morning nap before I was to get my hair done. Finally, I headed home and put on my make-up and dress, which was the easiest part. My favorite part was the shoes. We wore lime green converses with our fancy attire. I of couse, had to have sparkly shoe laces. And the best part is, you can wear them again! (Like a bridesmaid dress...except these are better.) We definately looked fly! Graham and Connor Anderson came to get me, we took pictures, then headed to Elizabeth Owens house where we took more pictures before we could finally head to Derek Austins house to take even more pictures and finally eat! We only had to make one detour, and that was to save our poor, innocent, dear lost friends, Christina and Jacob. I would first like to point out that Derek Austins house is VERY easy to find. You go straight down a highway and only make one turn to get into his driveway. But, apparently, that can be confusing. So, Elizabeth and I, knowing our way around Utica backwards, had to figure out where they were, how to get to them, and help them get back to Dereks. It turned out they were only 3 or 4 miles down the road. We finally got to Dereks, took more pictures, and ATE! Mrs. Austin is an amazing cook! We had steak, chicken, shrimp, baked potatoes, and rolls. Then, the desert table! Yes, it had its own table. So many cakes, chocolate, pies, and ice cream! It was sooo good! We had some time to kill so we headed down to the basement and played Apples to Apples with 12 people, which was interesting. Graham, Connor, Elizabeth and I then headed to my Nanas to take, of course, more picture and then we were finally off to prom! It was almost perfect! I loved dancing even though it mainly by myself but thats ok! My group isn't into the grinding on eachother haha. Some people awkwardly stood there which doesn't make it very fun, I prefer to dance! The secret is, that there isn't a secret to dancing, so it's best to just do your own thing. Some people haven't been let in on that secret yet so they think they look dumb when they dance. But, its prom and for most it only happens twice so might as well make the best of it!

WWW
Hi, My name is Ellison Humphrey and I am addicted to Facebook. I spend so much time online, mainly because I'm nosy. I like to see what everyone is doing and look at their pictures. Facebook is really the only thing I am on a majority of the time. I don't normally play a lot of games on my phone or on the computer. All I do is text and get on Facebook. I am obsessed with updating my news feed and seeing if I have any new notifications. I wish I had unlimited data because my out-of-wifi use is limited. However, that may be a good thing. I would like to know what makes Facebook so intriguing and why I feel the need to be constantly updated. I have tried to take breaks from it for a little while and limit myself, but it never works. However, in my obsession of wanting to constantly check my Facebook, I can carry on a normal conversation and have a life. So, in my opinion, my addiction is not as a bad as some. :)

IPhone
I absolutely love my IPhone. It definately would be the coolest and most helpful technology I use. I can access pretty much anything I need in my hand at any time. I have tons of apps that I can use for games, internet, Facebook, the Bible, dictionary, the weather, and so much more! I am connected to everyone I need through texting or calling them. Texting is the handiest thing to me! I use it to remind my mom of something or see what she is doing. I am constantly talking to my friends on my phone. It almost never leaves me, which is sad. I upload pictures to Facebook all the time, and stalk my friends occasionally. It would be hard to imagine not having my IPhone!

Childhood Lesson
Never use a screw driver in the upright position to make a whole in a box for your playhouse.
If you have ever noticed the cut in my left eyebrow, you know probably understand what happened. I was about 5 or 6 when it happened. My sister, Cynthia Turner, and her little sister Rachel were all trying to make a playhouse in our garage right after we had moved. We had tons of boxes and had just watched Out of the Box and decided we wanted our own play house. We were going to pile up the boxes and poke holes in them so we could have umbrellas poking out of the top. We tried to use the bottoms of the umbrellas to poke the holes, but it wasn't working very well. My sister had the great idea to use a screw driver to poke the holes. So the caring seven year old she was, she gave her five year old little sister a screw driver to poke a hole. I attempted to poke the whole in a downwards motion through the box. When it wouldn't work, me in my five year old little mind told myself that I could just try to poke it upward through the opposite side of the box. After thrusting the weapon into the box 3 or 4 times, it finally came all the way through. Since I was leaned over the box to see when the sharped edged object would come through, it went straight up into my eyebrow. Panic struck and I flipped out! I was, of course, bleeding and thought I was going to die. My dad came to my rescue and patched me up. Luckily, I didn't 1) lose my eye and 2) have to have stitches. I got really lucky and I learned never to poke an object upward towards your face!
