Last year, Christina Faulls and I were hanging out. After a long and stressful week at school, we were finally taking a breather. We decided we were having a chocolate craving and chocolate always makes you feel better, so we went to Wal-mart and discovered the best thing known to man… No Bake Reese’s. We were convinced that this was going to be so easy to do and it was going to be so delicious. We were so excited and couldn’t wait to get home to make our masterpiece and enjoy this chocolate peanut-buttery goodness! We rushed home, and through the door, so excited to show my parents our new found treasure. They didn’t find all that exciting, which didn’t matter; it meant more for us!
In a rush to get it thrown together and into the fridge, we might have maybe, somehow, messed up a few of the directions. At the time, it seemed like we were doing it all right. The simple 3-5 directions could not have been that difficult. Our problem was not in the actual reading of the directions, we just didn’t read the labels on the packages. So, the filling and the crust got mixed up. Our beautiful masterpiece had been ruined. While making it, we noticed it wasn’t going as well as we planned and non-baking should not be this difficult. But, we thought we were doing it right, so we stuck it in the fridge. Taking our showers and getting ready for bed, we were so excited to try the should-have-been yumminess…It was AWFUL and our little hearts were broken. So, in trying to make up for the ruined batch, we have made it again, this time, hopefully doing it right!
